San Francisco, California
I know I know… I’ve been quite the traveler this summer. But I promise, there’s only one more destination after today’s post.
Last summer we took a family vacation with everybody and stayed for five days at the Fairmont at Ghirardelli Square. It was one of our favorite vacations ever, so ever since the day we got home I’ve constantly been talking about how badly I want to go back… While my siblings were at Camp Ozark for two weeks my parents decided it would be fun to go on one last trip with just them and me! So just Mom, Dad, and I loaded up for a two night trip in San Francisco!
It definitely wasn’t the same traveling without the trips. But this will always be a vacation to remember. Since I’m leaving for college everything is just so weird these days. The reality has yet to set in that I’m getting ready to move out. I’m so lucky and blessed that I have parents that want to and can take me on a two day get away and just have me to themselves for a while!! I will always be thankful for everything that they have done for me and I can’t believe I’m about to be on my own without them right by my side. I got to spend three whole days just traveling around the city with my mom and dad and it was absolutely incredible and full of so many fun memories!!!
This year we went to Fisherman’s Warf, Golden State Park, visited the Painted Ladies, saw the “Full House,” walked through Height-Ashbury, and walked through China town. Believe it or not, we knocked everything out that we really wanted to in three days!! We’re pretty efficient like that.
to mom & dad,
THANK YOU!! tHANK YOU FOR THIS TRIP AND FOR EVERYTHING IN GENERAL. I CAN’T TELL YOU HOW LUCKY I TO HAVE YOU TWO CRAZY PEOPLE IN MY LIFE. I AM SO LUCKY THAT I NOT ONLY HAVE THE Coolest parents in the world, but I also have the coolest best friends in the world. I will never be able to show you and tell you how thankful I am for everything you have done. you have given me opportunities that I never ever thought I would be able to have. it’s all because of you. thank you….. I can’t believe my time in the house is almost up! I can’t wait to get home and hug you guys and have the great five days together before we load up way more crap than I really need and move to texas!!!
Yes… I did say I can’t wait to get home. I’m currently on a plane home from another California trip!!
Anyone reading this, whether you like them, hate them, see them every day, or will never see them again… take a moment to thank your parents for anything!!
Tomorrow we take on my last trip before we start tackling the subject of college.
